Morning Preparations
The day starts early at 6:00 AM when my service vehicle is stocked with essential parts and tools. After checking the day’s schedule on my tablet, I review the maintenance and repair calls ahead. Working at Ferran Services means being prepared for anything from routine AC tune-ups to emergency heating system repairs.
First Calls of the Day
By 7:30 AM, I’m at my first appointment. Most mornings begin with preventive maintenance calls, where I:
• Check refrigerant levels
• Clean or replace air filters
• Inspect electrical connections
• Test system performance
• Ensure proper airflow
Midday Emergency Calls
Around noon, the summer heat kicks in, and that’s when emergency calls often come through. There’s nothing more satisfying than helping a family restore comfort to their home during those sweltering Florida afternoons. Each call is different, requiring both technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
Afternoon Education
One of the best parts of my job is educating homeowners about their HVAC systems. I take time to explain:
• Maintenance best practices
• Energy-saving tips
• Warning signs to watch for
• Filter replacement schedules
• Thermostat programming
End of Day
As the workday winds down, I ensure all paperwork is complete and my truck is restocked for tomorrow. Being an HVAC professional at Ferran Services means taking pride in delivering quality service and maintaining the highest standards in home comfort solutions.
Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to help our community stay comfortable, and that’s what makes this career so rewarding.
